PTCL Original Software

In This Article, we will learn how to update PTCL’s original software.

First of all, connect your modem to the computer or laptop using an Ethernet cable then we need to open the PTCL modem admin panel using the following IP addresses: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.10.1. then enter username and password. The Username is admin and the password is admin. If cannot log in then see the back side of the modem. The username and password will also appear on the back side of the modem. Or scan your nearby wifi using a WiFi analyzer Android Application. This application shows the WiFi Mac address copy of the last 5 digits of the Mac. So the username is admin and the password is the last 5 digits of the Mac address.

After login follow the following steps:

• Click Management
• Then Click Update Software
• Choose File
• Upload

Wait for 2 minutes. After the update is completed then log in to the modem using the IP Address. Enter the old username and password. Then create a new admin username and password. Username select admin and password select Admin123@.

Before Updating

Before Updating we need to confirm that our modem charger is connected with electricity properly. During updating if our modem loses power then it will be dead.
